TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL (TIF) is the world’s largest idol festival and is held every summer in Odaiba, Tokyo. It has become a summer tradition for idol fans around the globe.

In 2010, idols experienced an explosion in popularity. This marked the beginning of a fierce Idol Warring Period.
The first ever large scale idol festival, TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2010, was held in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
From then on, the event was held Odaiba and has continued for 10 years, bringing idols from across the country together throughout the Heisei Era.

This year TIF will be celebrating its 10th anniversary thanks to your support.
“The idol festival surpassing time:  2010→2019→” is the slogan for this years event.
This year we hope to spend 3 days wandering through memory lane and looking forward to the future of TIF.

Producer greetings

TIF will be held this year thanks to the participating idols and the attending fans, and for that we are extremely grateful.
Last year was a turbulent time for idols fans, with some of the leading groups disbanding. Despite that, TIF2018 was a huge success, welcoming over 80,000 fans.

This year will mark the 10th anniversary of TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL.
The idol scene has changed dramatically since the first festival. For one, the Idol Warring Period has come to an end along with the Heisei Era. The new generation of idols will create a brand new stage.

“As the times change, a star is born.”

Whether the group is newly formed or if they worked their way up from the bottom, TIF will show you that the idol scene is even stronger than ever!

Over the years, many idols have debuted, stood in the spotlight, and eventually graduated.
However, while the idol scene may have changed, TIF’s concept has not.
TIF will always be an annual festival held for the enjoyment  of both the fans and the idols.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, this year's festival will be even more exciting than ever.

To support us, Sashihara Rino (ex.HKT48) will be returning to her position as chairman.
We have already announced the first 10 groups who will be performing on the main stage, including Dempagumi.inc.

We have plenty more exciting announcements to celebrate the 10th anniversary of TIF.
This year we’ll be commemorating the past and getting more pumped up than ever!

Enjoy 3 days of passionate idol performances under the summer sun at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL.

We can’t wait to see you there!
