Unfortunately we have had to cancel TIF2020, which was scheduled to be held on October 2nd, 2020.
We deeply apologize to everyone who had been looking forward to the event.

 

For months, the TIF team had been discussing ways to hold the event despite the current circumstances, even if it meant things would be different. However, the coronavirus pandemic has yet to settle and after considering the health and safety of the employees, we decided to cancel the 2020 event.
We are truly sorry about this.

This is our first cancellation in 10 years of running the event.
TIF has grown thanks to the support of  enthusiastic and passionate idol fans, with over 80,000 people and idols gathering in Odaiba every summer.
But with Coronavirus, that enthusiasm and heated passion could lead to danger, or even put lives at risk.

Despite everything, we have no intentions of extinguishing the flames that have been burning for the past 10 years.
This year we will be holding TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL ONLINE, the world's largest online idol festival.
It will be held in October 2020, on the 3rd, 4th and 5th.

The event will be held with the utmost care to prevent the spread of infection.

We have been considering the event carefully; There are things we can do precisely because the event is being held online - But there are also things that we don’t want to change.

We don’t want to change the scale of the festival, or the amount of groups performing. We want the fans to feel just as enthusiastic as they would if the event was being held as usual.
Is it possible to recreate the experience of a multi-stage festival online? What about the post-concert events and game tournaments?
On the other hand, this is a stage where virtual idols can stand equally.

While we’re not sure how far we can take it, we’re determined that it won’t be a regular, boring livestream. We will recreate the enthusiasm of TIF from the TIF Online stage and deliver it directly to you.

We sincerely hope that the spread of Covid-19 will be stopped soon and are praying for everyone's health.
